Farallone Lighthouse, Pacific OceanFarallon Island Light was built in 1855 and was officially turned on on January 1, 1856 and it had a first order Fresnel lens. It is one of the original West Coast lighthouses. Location 23 miles off the Golden Gate on Southeast Farallon Island. We also have photos of the Point Pinos Lighthouse, Point Sur lighthstation, Santa Cruz Lighthouse, Piedras Blanco Light, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Trinidad Head Light, Crescent City Lighthouse, Point Bonita with keeper and other California Lighthouses. This photo has recently been used by the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in a display of the first order Fresnel lens at the new Visitor Center in the Haslett Warehouse.
