Seaside, CaliforniaSeaside, California is a coastal community located just east of Monterey John L.D. Roberts, M.D., from Osceolo, New York founded the town of Seaside in 1887 Roberts bought the land from his uncle, David Houghton, for $5,000 who owned a ranch of 160 acres in what are now Seaside. To the North and east was Fort Ord on of the largest army base on the west coast till it closed in 1994. Holdings: for Seaside are, the Roberts Oak Tree, Roberts Lake, First house in Seaside, Seaside first Post office and maps of Seaside. Holdings: We have over 5,000 Monterey and 28,000 photos of Monterey County listed in our database. |
