Well boys…

We waved goodbye to 2025, clinked glasses with 2026, and I can already tell this year is going to be a ride. I slept like a king worn out by his harem (minus the harem), woke up early thanks to years of golf-related trauma, and decided it was time to separate what we know from what we merely pretend to understand.

What we know is simple. Every California college football program is either rebuilding, re-rebuilding, or explaining why next year is definitely the year. AI is where the smart money went, which means I invested and now complain about it loudly like a true tech visionary. And yes, Californians will publicly sigh about Trump—because it’s required at the border— while privately muttering, “Alright man… get’er done, Big Don.”

What we think is another story. We think the SEC might finally be human again, the Seahawks dynasty is just warming up, and the Democrats will win the House and immediately prove they are at least somewhat relevant— even if they remain professionally useless.

Sadly, you still can’t bet any of this in California because our lawmakers are busy inventing new fees, new committees, and new explanations for why sports betting remains “complicated.” That said, if curiosity strikes, a perfectly respectable California sportsbook does exist over at BMR—purely for educational purposes, of course.

As for today, I’m pounding the Dolphins, loosening up the swing, and pretending detox starts tomorrow. Holiday season is officially over… unless someone invites me back to Pebble. Coastal golf waits for no man, especially one holding an AMEX like a life raft.

Stick around. If 2026 survives me, I’ll report back. If not… blame the weather, the markets, or California politics.
